back to school
Schools are in session starting tomorrow (Wed). Everyone have a great 1st day! We have mascot bears available for Flippin & Cotter schools, with bears for Yellville-Summit arriving any day. These will make great tie-ons for balloons & vases to students at school.
New item: Songbird Bouquet container is the TFS special for Grandparents Day, Sunday Sept 13th. Also makes a great everyday container for those that love birds.

UPgrade
Have finished the TFS software update. This will allow for faster wire outs & faster credit card processing as well as enhance all aspects of our POS system, plus I will be able to drop a second phone line that was dedicated to credit card processing. A little $$ saved.

Been away for awhile, finally got a vacation. Now to be able to get J one. She worked very hard while I was gone, several funerals, both boys at the shop, and nearly running out of flowers & plants. She was able to keep it together though!! Since I’ve been back it seems to continue. J did one arrangement for Dr. A, that had a duck planter & arrangement as part of the whole arrangement - it was a great arrangement!
Have a software upgrade in the morning, hope to have everything done before officially open the shop, also hope this upgrade doesn’t cause problems like we had trying to get everything ready for the software upgrade.

last minute deliveries
Just barely was able to get a last minute TFS order to Burns this morning. The service was for 11 am & left to take to the funeral home about 9:15, only thing was I forgot that the service was at the Keesee church, which is way north. Please help your local florist by ordering funeral flowers early, if all you know is the name of the deceased and the funeral home, we will be sure the order is delivered in plenty of time. When order later it may be impossible to get to service, flowers and plants sometimes cannot be delivered even if there is at least 2 hours before the service takes place.

I’m fixin’ to throw a computer!
Got a call recently from TFS (Teleflora Wire Service) about an upgrade to the Point of sale program we use. Found out would need to add memory to the workstation in the back to be able to upgrade. Ok, no problem, I thought. I can add memory , I’ve done that before, used to do it as a full time job even. Then I thought, it would be good to have it professionally cleaned inside & get rid of any dust bunnies etc. So took to a local computer store. Long story short, what I thought would take 24-48 hours at most, took nearly 3 weeks. AND to top it off, I am in the SLOW process of re-installing all programs & re-storing info. Thank God I knew to back up EVERYTHING. Have spent the better part of the week looking for a book that should be in arms reach. Jenn found a copy from another shop & should get this workstation re-networked with the POS tomorrow.

Mascot Bears
Have gotten in mascot bears for Cotter School!!! We now have in stock teddy bears for Flippin Bobcats & Cotter Warriors wearing a shirt with the team mascot. Hope to have YS Panther added by the time school resumes in August.
During a hectic Mother’s Day week also received new spiritual plaques. These will hang on a wall & can be added to sympathy work
